Solid angle of analyser
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010989
The angular range over which an electron or ion energy analyzer collects particles emitted from a sample surface. It is a measure of the analyzer's collection efficiency and is expressed in steradians. A larger solid angle generally leads to higher signal intensity but can sometimes reduce energy or angular resolution in surface analysis techniques.
