Electron energy analyser

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003721

A device used to measure the kinetic energy distribution of electrons emitted from a sample surface or produced in a gas phase. It separates electrons based on their energy, allowing for spectroscopic analysis. Common types include hemispherical and cylindrical mirror analyzers, which are integral components of electron spectrometers.
