Electron energy loss spectroscopy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-003722

A spectroscopic technique that measures the energy lost by electrons as they pass through a material or interact with a surface. This energy loss corresponds to the excitation of electronic or vibrational states within the sample. It provides information about the electronic structure, chemical bonding, and elemental composition of the material, often used in conjunction with transmission electron microscopy.
