Reflection electron energy loss spectroscopy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-010091

A surface-sensitive analytical technique that measures the energy distribution of electrons scattered from a solid surface. Incident electrons lose energy through inelastic interactions with surface and near-surface atoms, providing information about electronic excitations and vibrational modes. This method is typically performed under ultra-high vacuum conditions.
