Radial electrostatic field analyser

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-009803

A device that separates charged particles based on their kinetic energy by deflecting them through a curved electrostatic field. The analyzer consists of two concentric cylindrical electrodes, with an electric field established between them. Ions entering the field are deflected, and only those with a specific kinetic energy-to-charge ratio pass through to the detector.
