Electron energy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013062
The energy possessed by an electron, which can be kinetic, potential, or a combination of both. In atomic and molecular systems, electron energy levels are quantized, meaning electrons can only occupy discrete energy states. This energy is a fundamental property determining an electron's behavior in chemical bonds and reactions.
