Kinetic energy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-006352

The energy possessed by an object due to its motion. It is directly proportional to the mass of the object and the square of its velocity. In chemistry, kinetic energy is associated with the translational, rotational, and vibrational motions of atoms and molecules, influencing reaction rates and molecular collisions.
