Steady state extraction

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011349

An extraction process where the concentrations of all components in both the feed and extract phases remain constant over time, indicating a stable operating condition. This implies that the rates of mass transfer into and out of the extraction system are balanced. Such conditions are often sought in continuous extraction operations.
