Surface-bound phenylboronic acid sorbent
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011674
A material used in extraction processes where phenylboronic acid groups are chemically attached to a solid support. These functional groups selectively bind to molecules containing diol moieties, such as carbohydrates or nucleosides, through reversible covalent interactions. The binding affinity is pH-dependent, with stronger binding in alkaline conditions.
