Surface-enhanced hyper-Raman spectroscopy

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011675

A spectroscopic technique that combines the principles of hyper-Raman scattering with surface enhancement effects, typically achieved by placing analytes near plasmon-resonant nanostructures. This method provides significantly amplified hyper-Raman signals, allowing for the detection of molecules at very low concentrations. It yields information about molecular vibrations and symmetry.
