Surface-enhanced resonant Raman spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-013622
A spectroscopic technique that combines the principles of surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) with resonance Raman spectroscopy. It involves the adsorption of an analyte onto a nanostructured metal surface, where the excitation wavelength is chosen to be in resonance with an electronic transition of the analyte. This dual enhancement mechanism leads to extremely high sensitivity for detecting molecules at surfaces.
