Surface-enhanced infrared spectroscopy
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011676
A spectroscopic method that significantly amplifies the infrared absorption or reflection signals of molecules located at or near a specially prepared surface, often involving metallic nanostructures. This enhancement allows for the detection and characterization of very small amounts of material or thin films. It provides vibrational information about surface-adsorbed species.
