Tiered testing
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012060
A sequential approach to toxicity testing where simpler, less expensive tests are performed first, followed by more complex and costly tests only if necessary. This strategy aims to efficiently identify potential hazards and risks while minimizing animal use and resource expenditure. It is widely applied in ecotoxicology and chemical safety assessments.
