Tie-line
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012059
A line drawn on a phase diagram connecting the compositions of two phases that are in equilibrium with each other at a specific temperature and pressure. For a two-component system, a tie-line connects points on the phase boundaries of two coexisting phases. It indicates the compositions of the conjugate phases.
