Coexistence curve
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002174
A graphical representation showing the conditions (e.g., temperature, pressure, composition) under which two or more distinct phases of a substance or mixture can stably exist in equilibrium. For a binary system, it typically plots the compositions of two conjugate phases as a function of temperature. The curve terminates at a critical point where the phases become indistinguishable.
