Ternary diagram

Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-011880

A triangular graph used to represent the compositions of systems containing three components, where the sum of the percentages or mole fractions of the components is 100%. Each vertex of the equilateral triangle represents a pure component, and points within the triangle represent mixtures. These diagrams are commonly used in phase equilibria studies for alloys, minerals, and solutions.
