Toxicometry
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012176
The quantitative measurement of the toxicity of substances, involving the determination of dose-response relationships and other parameters. This field employs standardized tests and experimental designs to assess the harmful effects of chemicals on living organisms. Key metrics include the lethal dose 50 (LD50) and the no-observed-adverse-effect level (NOAEL).
