Waste
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-012641
Any substance or object which the holder discards, intends to discard, or is required to discard. In the context of polymers, this includes post-consumer plastic products, manufacturing scraps, and end-of-life materials that are not repurposed or recycled. The classification of a material as waste is determined by national and international regulations, such as the Basel Convention on the Control of Transboundary Movements of Hazardous Wastes.
