Incinerator
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005758
A furnace or apparatus designed for the controlled combustion of waste materials at high temperatures, reducing their volume and converting them into ash, flue gas, and heat. This process is used for solid, liquid, and gaseous waste disposal, often generating energy in the form of steam or electricity. Modern incinerators incorporate advanced pollution control systems to minimize emissions.
