Flue gas scrubber

An air pollution control device that removes pollutants from the exhaust gases of combustion sources. It operates by bringing the flue gas into contact with a liquid or solid sorbent to absorb or adsorb contaminants. Wet scrubbers, for instance, use a liquid spray to remove sulfur dioxide and particulate matter.
