Combustion gas
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-002276
The gaseous products resulting from the rapid chemical reaction of a fuel with an oxidant, typically air, accompanied by the release of heat and light. These gases primarily consist of carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrogen, and unreacted oxygen, along with smaller amounts of pollutants like carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxides. The composition depends on the fuel and combustion conditions.
