Fly ash

A fine, powdery residue consisting of spherical particles, produced during the combustion of pulverized coal in thermal power plants. It is carried out of the combustion chamber with the flue gases and collected by electrostatic precipitators or bag filters. Fly ash is primarily composed of silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide, and iron oxide, and is often reused in concrete production.
