Incipient LC₅₀
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-005759
The concentration of a toxic substance in the surrounding medium that is lethal to 50% of a test population when exposure is prolonged indefinitely. This value represents the threshold concentration below which a substance is not acutely lethal, even with extended exposure. It is determined by observing the mortality rate over time until it stabilizes.
