Waste-water

Water that has been adversely affected in quality by human activity, originating from domestic, industrial, commercial, or agricultural sources. It contains a mixture of dissolved and suspended solids, organic matter, nutrients, pathogens, and chemical pollutants. Before discharge into the environment, waste-water must undergo treatment to reduce its contaminant load to levels compliant with environmental regulations.
