Leachate

The liquid that has percolated through a solid material, such as waste in a landfill or contaminated soil, and has extracted soluble or suspended components from it. This liquid often contains dissolved contaminants and can pose an environmental risk if not properly managed. Leachate composition varies widely depending on the source material and environmental conditions.
