The susceptibility of a substance, waste, or environmental contaminant to undergo a desired change in its chemical or physical properties through a specific treatment process. This characteristic indicates the potential effectiveness of a remediation or detoxification method. It is often assessed through laboratory or pilot-scale studies before full-scale implementation.
