Genetic susceptibility
Term · Chemistry · MLC-T-CHM-004839
An increased likelihood of developing a particular disease or adverse health outcome due to an individual's inherited genetic variations. This predisposition does not guarantee disease development but indicates a higher probability when exposed to certain environmental triggers. For example, some genetic variants increase susceptibility to certain cancers or autoimmune disorders.
