Doped
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-001792
Describing a semiconductor material that has had impurities intentionally added to it to alter its electrical conductivity. This process, called doping, creates either n-type (excess electrons) or p-type (electron holes) semiconductors. The concentration of dopants, such as boron or phosphorus in silicon, determines the material's electrical properties.
