Drawbar

A rigid coupling device used to connect railway cars, particularly between a locomotive and its tender, or between permanently coupled multiple units. Unlike a knuckle coupler, a drawbar provides a fixed, non-articulated connection. This type of coupling is common on older rolling stock or specialized equipment.
