Flat lock
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002333
A method of joining two pieces of sheet metal by folding their edges over each other and then flattening the seam. This technique creates a smooth, low-profile joint that is suitable for roofing, wall cladding, or ductwork where a watertight seal is not the primary concern. The seam is formed by a double fold, with each sheet bent at 180 degrees before being pressed together.
