Seam

The line formed by joining two or more pieces of material along their edges. In construction, this applies to the junction of drywall panels, roofing membranes, or metal sheets, which must be sealed or fastened to prevent leaks and create a continuous surface. Welding, adhesives, fasteners, or folded joints are common methods for creating structural and weather-resistant seams in building materials.
