Fiber to the Desk, a fiber optic network architecture where optical fiber extends directly to the user's workstation or desktop computer. This provides the highest bandwidth and lowest latency connection directly to the end-user device. FTTD is often implemented in corporate environments requiring high-speed data transfer.
