Hot stamp

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-002901

A forming process where a metal sheet is heated to a high temperature before being pressed into a die to create a desired shape. This method reduces the material's yield strength, allowing for the formation of complex geometries with high dimensional accuracy and reduced springback. Hot stamping is frequently used in the automotive industry for manufacturing lightweight, high-strength structural components.
