Jump wire

A short electrical conductor used to temporarily close, open, or bypass a part of an electronic circuit. It is used for testing, diagnosing faults, or prototyping new circuit designs on breadboards or printed circuit boards (PCBs). A jump wire consists of a length of wire with a solid pin or an alligator clip at each end for making connections.
