Unstable combustion varies the engine thrust, the thrust changes flex the vehicle structure, and the flexing alters the propellant pressure and flow to the engine, which feeds the cycle back. It can break up the vehicle, and designers fit a gas-filled accumulator in the feed line to damp it.",
