Time-hopping
Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006033
A spread spectrum technique where a signal's transmission time is pseudo-randomly varied across a wide time interval. This method makes the signal difficult to detect and intercept, and allows multiple users to share the same frequency band without continuous interference. It is often employed in ultra-wideband (UWB) communication systems for secure and low-power data transmission.
