Volt-Ampere, the unit of apparent power in an AC electrical circuit, calculated as the product of the root mean square (RMS) voltage and the RMS current. It represents the total power flowing in a circuit, including both real power (watts) and reactive power (VARs). Power transformers and uninterruptible power supplies are often rated in VA.
