Prior acts coverage
Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-002665
An insurance policy feature that extends coverage to claims arising from incidents or wrongful acts that occurred before the current policy's inception date. This is common in claims-made policies, where coverage is triggered by the date the claim is reported, not when the act occurred. Prior acts coverage typically requires continuous coverage from the retroactive date specified in the policy.
