With prejudice

Term · Insurance and risk management · MLC-T-INS-003544

A legal ruling that permanently bars a plaintiff from filing another lawsuit on the same claim or cause of action. When a court dismisses a case with prejudice, the decision is considered final and on the merits of the case. This legal principle, known as res judicata, prevents the same parties from relitigating issues that have already been conclusively decided by a court.
