Attractive nuisance

A legal doctrine in tort law that holds landowners liable for injuries to trespassing children caused by dangerous conditions on their property. The condition must be one that is likely to attract children who are too young to appreciate the associated risks. Common examples include swimming pools, abandoned vehicles, or construction sites.
