Attractive nuisance doctrine

A legal principle that holds landowners liable for injuries to trespassing children caused by dangerous conditions on their property that are likely to attract children. This doctrine creates an exception to the general rule that landowners owe no duty of care to trespassers. It applies when the owner knows or should know of the dangerous condition and its appeal to children.
