Bill of Rights

The first ten amendments to the United States Constitution, ratified in 1791, which enumerate fundamental rights and freedoms of individuals and limit the power of the federal government. These amendments guarantee protections such as freedom of speech, religion, and the press, and the right to due process. It was largely influenced by the Virginia Declaration of Rights.
