Constitutional rights

Fundamental freedoms and protections guaranteed to individuals by a constitution, limiting the power of the government to infringe upon them. These rights are often enumerated in a bill of rights or similar section of the constitution. Examples include freedom of speech, the right to due process, and protection against unreasonable searches.
