Commercial law

The body of law governing business transactions and commercial activities, including contracts, sales, negotiable instruments, secured transactions, and bankruptcy. It provides a framework for the rights and duties of parties involved in trade and commerce. In the United States, much of commercial law is codified in the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC).
