Confidential relation

A relationship between two parties where one party places trust and confidence in the other, who is expected to act in the first party's best interest. This relationship often involves an imbalance of power or knowledge, such as between a trustee and beneficiary, or an attorney and client. Courts scrutinize transactions within such relationships for fairness and undue influence.
