Conscripting children

The unlawful recruitment or use of individuals under the age of 18 by armed forces or armed groups. This practice is a grave violation of international humanitarian law and human rights law, constituting a war crime. The Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court criminalizes the conscription or enlistment of children under the age of 15 into armed forces or groups.
