Contempt of court, indirect

An act of contempt committed outside the immediate presence of the court, but which still obstructs justice or disobeys a court order. Examples include violating a restraining order or failing to appear for a scheduled hearing. A formal hearing with notice and an opportunity to be heard is generally required before punishment.
