Express
Term · Law · MLC-T-LAW-001999
Relating to a statement, agreement, or right that is clearly and directly stated in words, either orally or in writing, rather than being inferred from conduct or circumstances. An express contract, for example, has its terms explicitly declared by the parties involved. This contrasts with an implied term, which is understood to be part of the agreement based on actions, custom, or legal necessity, even if not spoken or written.
