Actual authority

The specific powers and permissions granted by a principal to an agent, either expressly or implicitly, to act on the principal's behalf. Express actual authority is explicitly stated, while implied actual authority is reasonably necessary to carry out the express authority. An agent acting within actual authority binds the principal to third parties.
