Fair Minimum Wage Act of 2007

A United States federal law that amended the Fair Labor Standards Act to increase the federal minimum wage for non-exempt workers. The legislation implemented the increase in three incremental steps over two years, raising the rate from $5.15 per hour to its final level. This final step, which took effect on July 24, 2009, established the federal minimum wage at $7.25 per hour, where it has since remained.
